Emergency Medical Aid for Refugee Camps
About this campaign
The camp health post was built for 4,000 people. It currently serves just over 19,000. The average wait to be seen is now eleven hours, and the nearest hospital is a three-hour drive away.
The camp administration has allocated a second building and the community has trained sixteen residents as health volunteers, who already run triage and follow-up visits. The building is standing empty for want of staff and supplies.
Your donation staffs and stocks that second clinic for six months — two doctors, four nurses, a working pharmacy with cold-chain storage, and a vehicle to reach the outlying blocks that cannot walk in. Hiring begins the week the goal is reached, with the first clinic day inside a month.
