Annual Charity Gala Dinner

Annual Charity Gala Dinner

About This Event

An elegant evening of dinner, live music and a live auction, raising the operating budget for the shelter for the year ahead. It is our most formal night and, reliably, our most productive one.

The auction is the heart of the evening: a short, well-run lot list of things people actually want, with every bid going to the shelter. Between courses you will hear from two residents about what the year looked like from the inside.

Frequently asked questions

How do I bid in the auction?

You are given a paddle number at registration. Raise it for a live lot, or bid on the silent lots from your phone using the link on your table card.

We would be glad of it. Experiences and services tend to raise more than objects. Contact us at least three weeks ahead so it makes the printed lot list.

Valet parking is included with your ticket. The underground car park is also open, and the hotel is a five-minute walk from the central station.

Formal. Black tie if you enjoy it, a suit or cocktail dress if you do not — nobody will be turned away for being under-dressed.
