One donation can save up to three lives, and the whole thing takes about an hour of your day. Walk-ins are welcome all day at the Memorial Hospital Annex, though booking a slot means you will barely wait at all.
This drive is run with the regional blood service, so it is their staff, their equipment and their safety standards throughout. Our volunteers handle the front desk, the refreshments and getting everyone where they need to be.

About an hour end to end, of which roughly ten minutes is the donation itself. The rest is paperwork, the health check and resting afterwards.
Yes — a proper meal within three hours of donating, and plenty of water through the day. Skipping breakfast is the single most common reason someone feels faint.
Usually yes. Very few medications rule you out, but bring the details and the clinical team will check on the spot.
