Community Food Drive

About This Event

Our community food drive collects, sorts and packs non-perishable donations for the twelve pantries we supply across the district. Bring what you can spare, or give a morning and help us get it onto shelves the same day.

The whole operation runs out of the Community Center parking lot: donations come in at the drop-off lane, move through sorting and date-checking, and leave as packed boxes on the afternoon van run. Nothing sits in storage waiting for a rainy day.

Frequently asked questions

Can I donate without volunteering?

Absolutely. Pull into the drop-off lane, pop the boot, and a greeter will unload for you. It takes about a minute and you never need to leave the car.

Not at this drive. Fresh and chilled donations need cold-chain handling we cannot provide in a parking lot — the pantries take those directly on weekday mornings.

An hour is genuinely useful. Tell the briefing team when you arrive and they will put you on a station that suits a short shift.

To twelve pantries across the district, weighted toward the ones running lowest that week. Totals are published on our site within a few days of the drive.
